SMS Consent & Opt-In Policy

Last updated: March 1, 2026

1. How We Collect Consent

All recipients of SMS messages sent through the Drip platform have explicitly opted in to receive text messages. Consent is collected in one or more of the following ways:

  • Providing a phone number during account registration or checkout
  • Completing a web form that clearly states the user will receive SMS messages
  • Replying with a keyword (e.g. "JOIN" or "YES") to a published phone number
  • Verbally providing consent during a business interaction, documented by the business

2. What Messages Are Sent

Messages sent through Drip are limited to:

  • Customer care and support communications
  • Order updates and shipping notifications
  • Appointment reminders and follow-ups
  • Scheduled drip sequences the contact has opted into
  • Responses to inbound messages from contacts

Drip does not send unsolicited marketing messages. All campaigns target contacts who have provided prior express consent.

3. Message Frequency

Message frequency varies by use case. Contacts may receive up to 10 messages per month depending on the business's campaign settings. Recurring messages are clearly disclosed at the point of opt-in.

4. Opt-Out & STOP

Recipients can opt out at any time by replying STOP to any message. Once a contact replies STOP:

  • They are immediately marked as unsubscribed in the system
  • No further messages will be sent to their number
  • A confirmation message is sent: "You have been unsubscribed. You will not receive any more messages from this number. Reply START to re-subscribe."

5. HELP Response

Recipients can reply HELP at any time to receive assistance. The system responds with: "For help, contact us at [email protected] or reply STOP to unsubscribe. Msg & data rates may apply."

6. Data Protection

Phone numbers and contact information are stored securely and are never sold or shared with third parties. Each business on the platform maintains its own contact list and is responsible for ensuring consent was properly obtained.

7. Compliance

Drip and its users comply with the Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA), the CAN-SPAM Act, and CTIA messaging guidelines. Businesses using the platform agree to our Terms of Service which require proper opt-in consent before sending any messages.
